School Director, Shelley Miller
Shelley E. Miller comes to St. James Episcopal School with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Alabama. Shelley has taught in parochial and independent schools for 21 years, teaching pre-k through second grade. Three-Year-Old Class Teacher, Ryan Klarman

Three-Year-Old Class Teacher, Beth Knight
Beth Knight received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi. She has 15 years of Special Education experience at the Fairhope Elementary School. Beth is excited to be a member of the team at St. James Episcopal School.

Four-Year-Old Class Teacher, Nicole Campopiano
Nicole Campopiano was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee in 2019. She has called Spanish Fort her home for the last year, and loves all of the beaches. This is her first year as the lead teacher in one of the four-year-old classes, and she is so excited to be part of the St. James family in a new role this year!

Anna Ready is from our beautiful town of Fairhope. She has a Master of Elementary Education, which she received from the University of South Alabama in 2011. She has taught at Fairhope and Foley Elementary Schools, and in 2020 taught Kindergarten at St. James. Ms. Alex received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of North Florida. She started teaching right away and this will be her 6th year teaching in the classroom! She has experience in 2nd grade and kindergarten. She and her husband live in Daphne with their two dogs and she is so excited to be a part of the St. James family this year. Claire Brown is from Birmingham, Alabama and has called the Eastern Shore home for 9 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Samford University and her Master of Education from The University of South Alabama. Spanish - Veronica Valero
Veronica Valero is originally from Mexico. She has a BA in teaching languages (English/Spanish) from La Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro in Mexico. During her experience teaching, she has had the opportunity to teach throughout Baldwin County and through the Fairhope Education Enrichment Foundation (FEEF). Veronica has taught Spanish to children from as young as two years old to the high school level. She is looking forward to sharing her love for languages with our children!
Godly Play - Anne McEniry
At St. James Episcopal Church, the Director of Christian Formation, Anne McEniry, leads the children in Godly Play. According to the founder of Godly Play, Jerome Berryman, children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Environmental Science - Ellen Huckabay
Ellen Huckabay has a BS and an MS from Auburn University in Plant Sciences. She worked for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System for 12 years as a Horticulture Regional Extension Agent. She has been the Associate for Children’s Ministries at St. James Episcopal Church since August of 2019. Ellen is married to George, and they have one son, Will. They live in Fairhope with their Goldendoodle, Beckwith.
